You can easily write one formula that will find all duplicates in your Excel worksheet, as you type, saving you time and improving the accuracy of your data. Or you can just run it when a particular condition or event occurs, whichever suits you best.

You can specify the cells to be checked as a single range (down rows or across columns) or a range (multiple rows and columns) and even multiple ranges (and all three at once!). The Guide sheet provides comprehensive how to examples.

These functions are included in the add-in:

a) CMV_FindDuplicateCells - highlights 2nd and subsequent occurences amber - typically used for dynamic data entry validation. It immediately highlights the cell you are working on as a duplicate.

b) CMV_FindDuplicateAllCells - highlights the 1st occurence in green and subsequent occurences amber. Typically used for a conditional / periodic check for duplicates. Can also be used for dynamic checking.

c) CMV_GetCellColor - useful function to quickly help you specify your own colors. Just set a cell to the color you want and use this function to get the color code. Refer to the example sheet.

Operating Environment:  This is delivered as an Add-In .XLAM file. It runs with Excel workbooks - XLSX, XLSM and XLSB. On Excel 2010, 2013 and 2016 (32 & 64 bit), PC and Mac running Windows (32 & 64 bit). Note: Not for Mac OS.
